Hi everyone! It’s Jackie again from I Heart Arts n Crafts. It’s no secret that I LOVE crafting, and usually every month I share some of our crafty inspiration over here at The Realistic Mama. Today, however, I’m going to be sharing some of our favorite products that are behind all of our toddler crafts.

1. Kids love face painting, finger painting and craft painting with JOANN paint supplies. Shop kids painting supplies, including kids paint sets.
2. Jumbo Paint Brushes – It’s important to have a good set of paintbrushes that are easy for little hands to hold. For toddlers you’ll want ones that have a larger tip so that they’re easier to grasp. Popsicle Sticks – These can be used for collages or just about any other type of kids craft.
3. This lesson is great for introductory to painting. You can prepare kids for any painting project by first doing these quick exercises. This lesson is best for students 5 – 12 years of age and up. Younger children that can sit for up to 20 minutes, can be taught some of these lessons. Remember this should be fun and playful for the student.
4. These paint brushes took me about 15 minutes to assemble and most of that time was spent compiling items to make them with. Try it out and let me know what your kids loved to paint with! This is the best adsense alternative for any type of website (they approve.

Art Supplies for Toddlers You Shouldn’t Live Without!

1.Flip & Doodle Easel Desk – This easel flips down into a desk and also features storage underneath for some art supplies.
2. 10 Drawer Organizing Cart – This little cart comes in handy all the time! I love the size of it because I keep it in our little hallway closet and whenever I need it I can just wheel out to where we’re crafting.
3. Waterproof Art Smock – Help with the mess by using a waterproof art smock. I love the fun designs on these ones and they’re great quality! I’ve had ours for over two years (with tons of use) and still looks new!
4. Spill Proof Paint Cups – Another way to help with the mess when you’re dealing with beginner painters is by using spill proof paint cups. These keep the paint in the cups and also keeps the paint from drying out.

5. Tissue Paper – Tissue paper is great to have on hand for crafts, we use them the most for our sun catcher crafts. They’re also great for practicing scissor skills and cutting up to use for collages.
6. Do-A-Dot Markers – These are toddler must haves! We use these for just about anything from practicing to count and the kids love stamping these all over the paper to create their own pictures.
7. Easel Art Paper – Constructions paper and card stock paper are also great, but I usually just use our roll of easel paper because it’s a lot bigger and there’s more room for the kids to create.
8. Washable Finger Paint – These finger paints are non-toxic and washable so they’re perfect for your toddlers sensory painting activity!

9. Pip-Squeaks Washable Crayola Markers – Of course any washable markers will do, I personally love the size of the pip-squeaks for my little toddler’s hands!
10. Jumbo Paint Brushes – It’s important to have a good set of paintbrushes that are easy for little hands to hold. For toddlers you’ll want ones that have a larger tip so that they’re easier to grasp.
11. Popsicle Sticks – These can be used for collages or just about any other type of kids craft. We’ve made animals and a lot of seasonal crafts with these.
12. Googly Eyes – We tend to do a lot of animal crafts so these are always great to have on hand and are easier to glue on rather than drawing eyes.

13. Clear Contact Paper – We include contact paper in so many of our art projects, one of our favorites include suncatcher crafts. Here are some Colorful Suncatcher Crafts to get you started.
14. Glue Sticks – I started out having the kids use the purple Elmer’s glue sticks because they were easier to use and because it’s purple it’s great for beginners so they can see where they’ve applied the glue.
15. Paper Plates – Basic white paper plates are always a staple craft supply for us because you can create just about anything from a white paper plate. Head on over to I Heart Arts n Crafts to get some inspiration.
16. Washable Kids’ Paint – When picking a basic kids’ paint always go for a non-toxic and washable brand. Crayola has always been our favorite.
